Step-by-step guide
- Keep the original PDF, open the editor and review the available features and current limits.
- Choose the document and complete the required upload and security checks.
- Use enabled tools to add text or marks. Use selection, movement and undo controls to correct additions.
- Where the document permits it, use the available page controls; a restricted document may remain view-only.
- Export the result, wait for server finalization and download it. Reopen the saved PDF to confirm the intended changes.
Practical tips and limitations
Editor work is held in memory, so refreshing or closing the tab can discard unsaved changes. A generated download is a finalized output, not a persistent editing draft. Forms, signatures, tagged structure and page-linked features can restrict editing or page operations. A visual signature is not a guarantee of cryptographic signing or legal validity. Covering text with a shape is not secure redaction. Existing-text Beta is account-only and separately controlled; availability and fidelity depend on the document. For extensive changes, edit the original Word document where possible and export a fresh PDF.
