A JPG is useful when a destination accepts images rather than PDF documents. PDF to JPG renders pages into pixels. This changes the way the content can be used: text in the exported image is no longer selectable PDF text, and links, forms and document structure are not interactive. Keep the PDF if those features matter to your recipient.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the source PDF and identify the pages you actually need as images.
  2. Visit PDF to JPG and read the available page, upload and output options.
  3. Select the PDF and choose supported options shown by the tool.
  4. Run the conversion and download the result. If multiple outputs are packaged together, extract the download before using individual images.
  5. Inspect text edges and diagrams at the size where the image will be displayed.

Practical tips and limitations

An image with small text may look acceptable as a thumbnail but become difficult to read when enlarged. JPG also uses lossy compression, so repeated editing and saving can introduce artifacts around sharp lines. For documents that must remain searchable, accessible or printable with precise vector edges, share the original PDF instead. Rendering limits protect the server from exceptionally large pages or excessive output; splitting a long PDF into the required portion can help keep a request within bounds.

Frequently asked questions

Does the JPG contain clickable links?

No. It is a rendered picture of a page, not an interactive PDF.

Will this extract the original embedded photos?

Page rendering produces pictures of complete pages. It is not a promise to extract each original image unchanged.

Can I convert the images back?

JPG to PDF can package images into a PDF, but it does not restore the original text or document structure.
